Getting to the caravan park
by car - from junction 36 of the M6 (2.5 miles), take the A65 following the signs for Crooklands and Endmoor. In Endmoor turn right onto Woodside Road which leads to Gatebeck Road. The postcode for satnav is LA8 0HJ.
by public bus service - Stagecoach service #567 (Kendal to Kirkby Lonsdale) stops nearby on Gatebeck Road
by train - the nearest mainline station is Oxenholme (4 miles)
From Gatebeck Road the caravan park is accessed along a short private road, the entry to which is signposted on Gatebeck Road.
Getting around the caravan park
A speed limit of 5mph operates around the caravan park. Road surfaces are tarmac (or similar) with speed humps and are single vehicle width; a one-way system is in operation. Vehicles must not be driven onto grassed areas. All vehicles and their drivers must be insured. Learner drivers are not allowed.
Three car parking areas are provided; cars must be moved from the caravan to the car parks as soon as possible after being unloaded and the time spent loading a car outside a caravan should be kept to a minimum.
All pitches are accessible directly from the roadways.
Most of the caravan site is level.
Facilities
Reception/shop - small step to cross the threshold; door width 31 inches.
Toilet blocks - there are separate blocks for male and female. Each has a small step to cross the threshold. The door width for both toilet blocks is 30 inches. The short path to the ladies’ block has a slight incline at the top of which is a small step. In the gents’ block there is a step to the urinals. Both toilet blocks have a walk-in shower.
The disabled toilet is accessed via a ramp; door width 36 inches.
Laundry - small step to cross the threshold; door width 32 inches. Front-loading washer and dryer.
Restrictions
Age - caravans may not be occupied solely by under 18s. Children must be supervised properly so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or to others.
Dogs - are allowed on site, but limited to 2 per caravan. Dangerous breeds are not allowed. Dogs must be kept on a lead under adult supervision; they must not foul any part of the caravan park.
Winter season - the overnight use of caravans between January 4 and February 28 is prohibited by the terms of our site licence. During this period, vehicular access is possible only by prior arrangement.
